Could You Really?
'No!'
Carth Onasi looked furiously at Bastila Shan. 'You and the Jedi Council- you knew the whole time, didn't you?' He squeezed his eyes shut briefly, as though it could block out the reality of what Saul Karath had just told him. It couldn't be. It couldn't possibly be. His eyes fell on Brianne Moran. She was sweaty and covered in the grime that comes from too many grenades flying in close proximity, but her silver eyes flashed with the same determination and fire that had made him fall in love with her.
Could you really be a bad person?
He vividly remembered Brianne, chasing cruel Tarisian children away from an Ithorian they had been abusing. Remembered how she had professionally, but gently bound his injuries so he could return to his life mate. He could clearly recall her first encounter with Juhani, who was, at the time, consumed by the Dark Side. How she had spared the Cathar and convinced her to come back to the Enclave. In fact, anywhere Brianne set foot, she was bound to help someone in some crazy manner.
She never asked for a reward. Not from anyone. Not even when she had fished through the rotting remains of who knows how many corpses in the sewers of the Taris Undercity to find some journals, just to give hope to a small group of people. It made no sense, but he could see the smile in her eyes when he spoke with her- helping people was just what she did.
Could you really destroy entire planets?
Brianne had been vehemently opposed to the proposal to poison the firaxa on Manaan. 'Just what would that do to the ecosystem?' she demanded. 'I'm not releasing any poisons into the ocean!' Rather, she made peace with the firaxa by destroying the machinery that disrupted them. 'Better a contained explosion than mass ecological destruction,' she had said.
And the wookiees. Brianne had put her heart and soul into freeing them from the slavery of Czerka Corporation. She had been infuriated with all the technology they had put on Kashyyyk, especially in the Shadowlands. Given that the wookiees felt much the same way, she was able to help them start a revolution that would rid them of corporate oppression. She was a tree hugger in every sense of the stereotype, and Carth loved her all the more for it.
Could you really devastate a family?
He had lost everything when Saul Karath and his Sith fleet destroyed Telos. His wife, dead in his arms, and his son nowhere to be found. After a couple of years of searching, he couldn't do it anymore. He gave up and lost all hope. That is, until they ran into his old friend Jordo upon arriving on Tatooine. And Jordo had seen Dustil recently- but at the Sith Academy on Korriban. Carth's heart had sunk into his boots. He could never ask Brianne to veer away from the mission so he could chase after his lost son.
She could have kept going. She had every right to place finding Dustil at the bottom of the priority list. But she didn't. He would never forget how she had promptly turned and headed back to the Ebon Hawk after Jordo departed. All she said was, 'Change of plans- we're going to Korriban.'
They found him. And she convinced him to give his father a second chance he didn't necessarily deserve. It was a very special gift she had given him that day, and he would never forget it.
Could you? Could you really?
All of this passed through his head in what might have been an eternity, or perhaps only a few seconds. He could vaguely hear Brianne asking them what was going on, and Bastila yelling that there was no time to explain.
It was chaos and confusion, both physically and mentally. Brianne was a soldier and a Jedi- loyal, kind, generous, compassionate, determined, headstrong and beautiful. He looked at her once more, as if he could somehow read the answer he knew she didn't have in her eyes-
Could you really be Darth Revan?

Very interesting. I like how you took simple thoughts and expanded them, and remembered the small little details.
Very nice story.
Everything strings togheter. Very nicely written. Like a poem :D

During the battle aboard Leviathan; What went through Carth’s mind?
This is JediDWH’s second appearance in these pages, and like the first, it is a well done work. The interplay within someone’s mind is easy to do. All you need to do is write down every thought and memory it invokes. JediDWH does it here with Carth trying to reconcile Revan with who he sees. When done well, it is outstanding reading.
