Destiny's Pawn: Korriban Chapter 4
Submitted by Allronix on April 25, 2012 - 9:42pm."Victory to a Sith means an unequivocal demonstration that you have
superior power. Killing your enemy is the most common method of
neutralizing any future threat, but not the only one. It is a Sith's
responsibility to strike only when their master is of no further use. An
apprentice who strikes too soon is just as useless as one who wastes
the Sith's strength waiting for her master to die naturally. The fact
the Jedi do not replace their senile masters is part of the reason their
philosophy and outlook ossifies while we are constantly changing and
adapting."
Carth knew he was courting trouble, but curiosity got
the better of him. "What is the Force? I hear a lot of talk about it,
but nothing on what it is."
Uthar pushed away from the table.
"That, Mr. Antilles, is a very good place to start."
Dueling Destinies: Chapter Five
Submitted by infanta_magdalena on March 21, 2012 - 6:21pm.The elevator ride down to the Lower City was filled with silence. Mag was clearly furious with Carth; she had turned her back to him and was concentrating on her data pad.
However, Mag was only pretending to be interested in her data pad. It gave her an excuse to not have to look at Carth. How dare he suggest that she had had something to do with the attack on the Spire! She hated the Sith as much as he did. Sure, she wasn’t the most patriotic of citizens, but the preserving the Republic was still important to her. The statement that irked her the most though was the Carth assumed that she was going to leave him behind to die in the sewers. The thought had never even crossed her mind. Mag owed him her life. He had risked his neck to pull her out of the escape pod. She wasn’t about to repay him by ditching him.
The Blba Tree Part 1
Submitted by cellotlix on February 23, 2012 - 1:11am."It is then that I know my feelings cannot be wrong. The resonance I
sense between us is not purely my imagination, the wishful delusions of a
love-struck child. I feel it hum through her words as they bridge the
breach between us, and I know for certain that our paths will cross
again." Though they are apart for 10 years, the
Exile is never far from Mical's thoughts.
Destiny's Pawn: Korriban Chapter 3
Submitted by Allronix on January 2, 2012 - 12:06am.Kairi tried not to shudder. Of
course, she had seen the stark resemblance between the younger Onasi and
the one she knew well. Dustil had the same auburn hair and angular jaw -
even his emotional pattern and Force aura felt similar, though the
younger man was marked by the desperation of a wounded predator. If
possible, Dustil would be spared. However, if he proved a danger, then
it would be easier to blame the dangers of the academy...
Destiny's Pawn: Korriban Chapter 2
Submitted by Allronix on January 2, 2012 - 12:05am.The hair on Carth's neck stood up as he took his blaster
from the man's icy hands, holding the cloth in place until the bleeding
staunched. The elder Sith walked over to the dead student and shook his
head, taking the medallion from the dead boy's neck. Handing it to Carth
and taking back the bloodied cloth, he remarked, "A lot of power in
this one, but no wisdom. As for you, report to the academy tomorrow, and
show that medallion to the guard. Once inside, I have a job to offer
you."
Destiny's Pawn: Korriban Chapter 1
Submitted by Allronix on January 2, 2012 - 12:04am.Innocence never lasts. It is too easily broken, too easily turned to ash when exposed to the harsh realities of the universe. And when innocence dies, something else must step in and replace the void.
The Dark Side is always eager to volunteer.

Dueling Destinies: Chapter Four
Submitted by infanta_magdalena on November 27, 2011 - 10:20pm.Mag and Carth walked down the hall and easily found the dining room from the amount of noise echoing out of the partially closed door. They grabbed a couple of plates of food each and sat down at the last empty table in the room.
The food wasn’t anything fancy, but it was hearty. Carth and Mag ate greedily, figuring since they had a big job for Gadon, their next meal could be many hours away.
Carth was about to ask Mag a question when they were joined by a member of the Beks.
He was a very handsome human. Between his sandy-blond hair, dark green eyes, and strong, square jaw, the man could have been a model.
Dueling Destinies: Chapter Three
Submitted by infanta_magdalena on September 9, 2011 - 3:06am.Carth and Mag got lost on their way to the party. The streets of Upper Taris were narrow and confusing and many of the street signs were missing. When the two of them finally found the correct address, the party was in full swing.
Dueling Destinies: Chapter Two
Submitted by infanta_magdalena on May 26, 2011 - 1:53am.Thankfully, the escape pod landed on the night side of the planet. Although Carth could tell that he had at least a couple bruised bones, he lifted himself out of the escape pod.He grabbed the emergency pack and placed it over his shoulder. He then took to the task of getting Mag out of the pod. She was unconscious and still bleedingfrom the wound on her abdomen. Carth gingerly lifted her out of the pod and carefully made his way to a back alley. He examined her wounds and decided that they weren’t life threatening. Carth then picked her up and went to find a place to hide.

Destiny's Pawn: Manaan Chapter 9
Submitted by Allronix on April 8, 2011 - 2:26pm.Kairi exhaled. So close to an answer again, but not able to get it. Push Bastila, and you won't get an answer at all. Waiting is hell, but it's the best strategy. “I'll wait, for your sake, but only until the final map. We'll get away from the ship if we have to, but you are going to tell me. I want your word. Promise me, Bastila. Swear on our bond that you will tell me.”
Destiny's Pawn: Manaan Chapter 8 (Part B)
Submitted by Allronix on April 6, 2011 - 5:53am.“You’re injured, but alive,” Canderous told her. “Come on, we’ll get you back to the station.”
“Should have left me...danger out here...”
“You may have refused my mark, but I already claimed you, Princess. Now shut up – you’re being rescued.”
Destiny's Pawn: Manaan Chapter 8
Submitted by Allronix on April 3, 2011 - 5:54pm.She shuffled into the cave where the Star Map waited, already open and displaying its brightly-lit map of the galaxy. Kairi gasped and started to push towards it, but that’s when she saw she wasn’t alone.
Sitting before it, in a perfectly-still meditation pose was what looked to be Darth Revan. The garb – a combination of duelist’s fiber armor and black robes – was unmistakable. Kairi did not draw her blade – yet.
It was then that the Revan-figure acknowledged her presence. Jumping up, the figure drew its lightsaber, its violet blade hissing to life. The Revan-figure moved like wind, slamming her against the cave wall, the energy from the blade burning her skin.
“There is no comfort – there is suffering. There is no love- there is loss. There are no noble acts – only futile ones. There is no salvation – there is oblivion.”

I will not act in anger...I will not act in anger...
Jolee Bindo had long forsaken Jedi mantras and codes, but experience had been a good teacher on when to hold his emotions in check. He hadn’t been so angry since he saw Czerka setting up shop and bringing slave transports. But he hadn’t felt betrayed when Czerka started polluting Kashyyyk.
He certainly felt betrayed now.
Destiny's Pawn: Manaan Chapter 6
Submitted by Allronix on March 3, 2011 - 7:15pm.Easy...too easy...She kept herself apart on the ship. She had to. Still, it hurt more than she wanted when Kairi confronted her. Certainly, being bonded to the empath wasn’t comfortable. No matter how much she could control her emotions, there was no evading Kairi's senses. Of course, Bastila was disappointed, but the disappointment was not for the reasons Kairi thought it was.

Jedi & the Scoundrel - Epilogue
Submitted by lyricangell on January 28, 2011 - 8:47pm.Could it be that she was unhappy? Atton himself was happier than he had ever been. He had worried for awhile that he might grow bored with Liara as time went by but that had proven false. If anything, he relied on her more and more each day. She was his peace and that fact didn’t bother him anymore. His happiness being dependent on her was fine with him now. And Atton felt deep inside that she was content as well. Even with the constant reminder of his flaws, such as his yellow eyes, she loved him.
Destiny's Pawn: Mannan Chapter 5
Submitted by Allronix on January 12, 2011 - 2:15am.But Juhani only shook her head. “I am a Jedi, same as you. And I once fell from the same cliff you dance on the edge of now. Anger brought me there, but there are many paths to the Dark Side, as you know.” She reached out. “We offer our hands, and you reject them.” She yanked her outstretched hand back to prove the point. “I have heard you say over and over that those who are not Jedi do not face the same dangers – and I very much disagree. When I fell, I could not climb out on my own. When I faced Xor, I would have given into my anger if I were alone.”

Mission’s eyes got big, and a hard scowl crossed her face.
Destiny's Pawn: Manaan Chapter 4
Submitted by Allronix on January 2, 2011 - 5:26pm.Carth thumbed off the safety. Never laugh at the guy with the gun. "What have you heard about those young Selkath gone missing? I saw that Sith pay you, and I know a kid went missing last night."
"That would be none of your business. And as for reprisal, I do not fear the fish people or their laws."
Carth warmed up the blaster. This heap of Hutt droppings had better tell him what he did with those kids, or he was going to have his brains painting the wall. "Nothing said I had to make you die quickly, you know."

Another part of his mind looked at Kairi cradling the baby and had different desires altogether. What kind of a mother would she make? Did she want the chance at it? If things on the Spire had gone smoothly, what kind of a future would she have? Would she be inclined to find a decent guy, start a family? Somehow, he could picture her with several kids at her feet.
And are you picturing yourself as the sire of that brood, Commander?
He whipped around to see Bastila a short distance away, one delicate eyebrow arched and arms folded.

It seems a noble cause he fights for, one that my people may be able to aid once we have banished the last of the slaver taint. There is more than I could imagine out here, and it seems the right thing to give my people a way to know it for themselves. It may be many years before it is done, however.”>>
“So, you and your dad are thinking of putting Kashyyyk into the Republic? Wow, heavy.”

Jolee shook his head and looked out the port. “At their best, strict codes and regulations keep you from making the hard decisions unaided. At their worst, they give the timid a wall to duck behind in times of crisis or prevent stagnation and corruption from being challenged when they need to be.” He sighed. “So, no, it doesn’t get easier, especially with someone like you.”
“Huh? Someone like – “
Jolee stood up and straightened his tunic. “I could be wrong, but I look at you and see a bit of what I was like as a young man. And nothing makes the things you carry any lighter – not even time. You just learn to carry, or let it go. Now, I’ve talked enough. Think about it or don’t.”

Zaalbar savagely backhanded Chuundar. Chuundar swiped back, gashing Zaalbar's arm. Zaalbar swung back with his fist and blade with all the savagery and rage brought on by his long years of exile. His mind went blank, and he was dimly aware of Chuundar's face before him. Let him know the pain of his people! This was a traitor, a creature of no honor!

Ethyl had never known the aqualish or huttese languages that the aliens used, but she could sense the base raw emotions that emitted from their angry foreign words. She finished her juma and turned slightly on her barstool. Physical eyes did not reveal the miniature but deadly blaster hidden in the Aqualish's left breast pocket, nor the vibroknife on the back of the larger nikto's belt, but their thoughts gave them away. They did not even know that Ethyl had entered their minds and absorbed all the information she needed for their next move.

For the Republic: Part 22: Final Chapter
Submitted by Verna Jast on October 13, 2010 - 1:29am.She wanted to go to Malak now, hold him, tell him she was sorry and things could go back to the way they were.
But Serena knew better. And so did he.
“Whatever’s happened up until this point, there’s going to come a time very soon where you’re going to have to make a choice. And there won’t be any turning back. I want you to make the right choice. I want to give you a reason to. You gave me a future, Serena. I want to give you one, too…with me.” Carth’s words repeated in her mind—had it really only been that morning?—transcending the memories of her past and tightening her resolve.
She pictured Carth, Travin, and Dustil. “No, I’ve been down this road before. There is nothing there for me.”
“Then, it is time, Revan. We finish this, now.” Malak started toward her, eyes narrowed...

Some more fluff, angst, love, and the set up for the final chapter.
